Hi,
here's my first try with the K9N. It took me a while to figure out how
to make serial work (the Super I/O is at 0x4e on this board, and you
need a small hack to switch to 24MHz, see patch), but that part
works fine now.
It does not survive the RAM init, yet, I get "No memory for this cpu" errors.
Somethings's wrong with RAM/SPD detection, but I didn't yet have time to debug.
I'm posting this in case anybody wants to play a bit with this target...
The boot log and my current diff against the GA-M57SLI-S4 code is
attached.
Notes:
- The BIOS is socketed (thank god!) and is a 512KB PLCC chip (Pm49FL004).
- Flashrom does _not_ work on this board, though (board-specific init
required).
- I'm using two DIMMs, the BIOS says "DRAM clocking is 667 MHz, Dual-Channel"
There a 2 green, and 2 orange slots for RAM, my DIMMs are both in the
orange ones (and work fine using the proprietary BIOS).
